The question asker
I apologize, I don’t have the answers. I never did, and I never will. But I have 50 minutes, an open heart and a curious mind brimming with questions. Hands to hold whatever joy or trial you’re facing. I want to explore the world you’re navigating, see from your shoes, wonder and wander with you. I want to ask you, what are you feeling? What are you noticing in your body? Who is with you now? What age are you now? What do you need today? Where are you going? What do you know about yourself? What are you hoping for this week? How can you take care of yourself this week?
Look, you’ve already done the hard part. You’re here. You dedicated this weekly time for yourself. You are reminding yourself that all of you matter, your feelings matter, your experiences matter, your beliefs matter. Your life matters. You are worth showing up for, whatever is going on. You’re willing to ask the questions and challenge the answers you’ve been handed. You’re willing to ask new questions. Deconstruct what you believed. Sometimes, when we ask different questions, we get different answers.
So I will sit with you. And your feelings. They give us invaluable information about who you are. You are welcome here. I have so many questions, but what I really want to know is–how can we hold this moment together?
