Now accepting new clients for telehealth & in-person sessions

FAQ

What are your fees?

For individual therapy, sessions are $200 for a 50 minute session (both in-person and virtual).

How long are appointments?

Individual therapy sessions are 50 minutes long. Typically, meetings are weekly.

Do you take insurance?

I have a limited number of in-network insurance slots through Octave Behavioral Health and Headway. At Octave, I am in-network with Aetna, Anthem Blue Cross, Blue Shield, and Health Net / MHN commercial insurance plans. If you have coverage under one of these plans, please visit findoctave.com to schedule an appointment. I also accept certain insurances under Headway if I have space.

How do out-of-network benefits work?

I am out-of-network for all insurance plans, so if you have a PPO plan, your insurance will cover part of my fee. “Out-of-network” means that your insurance will cover a portion (usually between 40-80%) of the session fee after reaching your out-of-network deductible. This will cost you up front, and your diagnosis will be recorded, but it gives you the freedom to choose any licensed clinician and their records are more protected than if you go with an in-network therapist. I can either provide you with a Superbill (a medical receipt for reimbursement purposes, which you submit to your insurance company), or use Thrizer to simplify out-of-network payment.

Where are you located?

My office is located in Northridge, in north LA. When I have telehealth sessions available, I can meet online with people living anywhere in California. Online sessions are offered conveniently on a secure virtual platform and can be attended using most computers, tablets, and smart phones with a strong internet connection.

Who do you work with?

I work with millennials who overthink, are overwhelmed by life, have trouble relating, find themselves always pleasing others but feeling dissatisfied, etc. who want to show up more fully for their lives.

What makes you qualified to treat me?

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). To be licensed, I had to graduate with a Master of Social Work, and accrue 3,000 professional hours, for which I met weekly with a licensed supervisor to get feedback on serving clients clinically, ethically, and legally. I have over 10 years of experience providing social services and therapy to adults who suffer from trauma, anxiety, depression, mania, panic, etc. I continue to sharpen my skills by consulting regularly with therapist colleagues and by educating myself with books, trainings, podcasts, videos, etc.

What kind of therapy do you provide?

I provide a safe, comfortable space to feel your feelings, confront underlying beliefs about self and to learn how to navigate challenging relationships. I use a variety of approaches (CBT, DBT, EMDR and other somatic based) to help clients safely get in touch with their bodies, identify emotions and establish healthy boundaries to function more effectively at work, at school, with family and in relationships. While providing practical coping skills to manage everyday stressors, I also dig deeper by using EMDR processing to get to underlying causes of your overthinking, people-pleasing, etc.
